Thursday, October 9, 2014: In the Beginning

"In the beginning there was nothing and God said 'Let there be light', and there was still nothing but everyone could see it."

                                                                                         Dave Thomas

We all need our own beginnings, our own creations. I was entranced by the textures of this lamp shade and delighted in the photographic result. It will always remind me of that first moment, the Big Bang, God's first creation when everything gets set in motion.

We forget sometimes that creation is not static or complete, but something that can begin again and again. We forget that, rather than be carried along by what is already in our life and in our world, we have the power to ignite our own spark, a new beginning of the reality we live.
